Windows Live Writer!!!

I have given some serious thinking about blogging actively. Hence I created an account over here.

As I started writing blog posts, I realized that writing blog posts with images online is not very comfortable.

I explored for different options to write blog posts, just like the way I prepare a word document.

• I should be able to format text
• I should be able to add images and screen prints using drag and drop feature etc.

So, I ended up with Windows Live Writer software.

This post is written with that and the software looks good. Give it a try!!!

Adding friendly URL hyperlinks in lotus notes mail!!!

I had expected it to be pretty simple and intuitive. It took me sometime to figure this out.

Here are the steps to create the same.

1) Enter the text you want to appear as the hyperlink in the mail message (eg: Google)

2) Select the text and click on Create –> Hotspot –> Link hotspot

3) Enter the desired URL in the Value text box. (eg: www.google.com) and close it

4) It will add the hotspot and select ‘Show border around hotspot’ to display a background highlighting around the link. Otherwise apply underline (press Ctl + U)

5) Send the mail to the recipients

Note: The link will not be active until you send the mail. If you click on the hotspot before sending it, it may not work.
